General Information ​
Any entity that cooks food commercially should have their grease exhaust system cleaned on a regular basis as specified by 
NFPA 96 or other local code. This service, which is also called “hood cleaning” includes, but is not limited to, restaurants, nursing homes, hospitals, churches, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, universities, military bases, theaters, jails, prisons, race tracks, theme parks, bowling allies, convenience stores, and truck stops. 

Grease from your commercial cooking operation is intended to be captured by your vent-a-hood and exhausted through the baffle filters, into the plenum, and up the grease duct, then through the fan and into the air or captured by a grease tray beneath the fan. 

A proper commercial grease exhaust system cleaning (hood cleaning) includes cleaning the grease exhaust fan, the grease duct, the hood plenum, the interior of the hood, the grease trays, the grease cups, and grease filters.

Fire Sentry has the proper equipment to clean grease exhaust systems  thoroughly during your downtime hours.
 

Digital photographs are taken before and after each service, and the pictures are reviewed next day after the cleaning to make sure cleaning was performed right, also pictures let us know of issues like broken fans, filters in bad conditions, etc.

A proper cleaning and degreasing of your commercial kitchen exhaust system on a regular frequency greatly reduces the risk of a fire in your establishment, and is a requirement of municipalities and insurance companies. Fire Sentry Protection Services will work with you to meet the requirements that your insurance company set out for you. Upon request we can provide you/management with a COI (Certificate of Insurance)

Our scheduling department will keep a record of your hood cleaning frequency for your place of business and let you know when you are due for service. We will schedule service at a time convenient to your normal business operation.
